Epoxy resin board is also called insulation board, epoxy board and 3240 epoxy board, which is characterized by strong adhesion and shrinkage.
Epoxy resin board is also called insulation board, epoxy board and 3240 epoxy board
Epoxy resin generally refers to organic polymer compounds with two or more epoxy groups in their molecules. Except for a few, their relative molecular weight is not high. The molecular structure of epoxy resin is characterized by the active epoxy group in the molecular chain, which can be located at the end of the molecular chain, in the middle or in a ring structure. Because the molecular structure contains active epoxy groups, they can cross-linked with various types of curing agents to form insoluble, non molten polymers with three-dimensional network structure.
Various resins, curing agents and modifier systems can almost meet the requirements of various applications for forms, ranging from very low viscosity to high melting point solids. Various curing agents are used for curing, and the epoxy resin system can be cured in the temperature range of 0 ~ 180 ℃.
Strong adhesion
Epoxy resin has high adhesion to various substances due to the existence of polar hydroxyl and ether bonds inherent in its molecular chain. Epoxy resin has low shrinkage and low internal stress during curing, which also helps to improve the adhesion strength.
Strong contractility
The reaction between the epoxy resin and the curing agent used is carried out through direct addition reaction or ring opening polymerization of epoxy group in the resin molecule, and no water or other volatile by-products are released. Compared with unsaturated polyester resin and phenolic resin, they show very low shrinkage (less than 2%) during curing.
mechanical property
The cured epoxy resin system has excellent mechanical properties.
Electrical performance
The cured epoxy resin system is an excellent insulating material with high dielectric properties, surface leakage resistance and arc resistance.
chemical stability
Generally, cured epoxy resin system has excellent alkali resistance, acid resistance and solvent resistance. Like other properties of cured epoxy system, chemical stability also depends on the selected resin and curing agent. Proper selection of epoxy resin and curing agent can make it have special chemical stability.
dimensional stability
The combination of many properties mentioned above makes the epoxy resin system have outstanding dimensional stability and durability.
Mold resistance
The cured epoxy resin system is resistant to most molds and can be used in harsh tropical conditions.
