High bearing capacity
Compared with common engineering plastics, PFC has higher mechanical strength, such as compression strength. The former is about 2-4 times that of the latter, showing its high bearing capacity.
High temperature resistance
Compared with common engineering plastics, PFC has higher thermochemical stability and thermomechanical stability. The long-term use temperature of general engineering plastics is about 80-90 ℃, while PFC can be as high as 160-180 ℃, expanding the scope of use.
Compared with bronze, PFC has lower hardness, good smoothness, easy running in and no shaft grinding. As a precision bearing, the complicated grinding process can be avoided.
Because the molecular structure of PFC is mainly hydrocarbon chain molecules, it is similar to the molecular structure in minerals.
Appropriate elastoplastic properties
PFC is an elastoplastic material. Compared with bronze, cast iron and other materials, it is easy to assemble. It also has the function of absorbing vibration and noise, reducing the impact force of machine parts in motion, so as to delay the damage of machinery.
Good dimensional stability
Compared with general engineering plastics, PFC has a lower linear expansion coefficient of about 1/2, and its water absorption is smaller than nylon.
Good hydrophilic properties
PFC containing special additives also has good hydrophilic properties. It can work safely in water cooling or water for a long time under the condition of no oil, without a complex lubrication and sealing device.
